The Global AI & IT Major within the Global Creative Talent College aims to develop future leaders equipped with cutting-edge expertise in advanced AI and next-generation IT technologies. Our curriculum provides in-depth training in Generative AI, Multimodal AI, Edge AI, AI Semiconductors, Big Data Analytics, Cloud-native Systems, Blockchain, Digital Twins, Cyber-security, and immersive technologies such as AR/VR, all of which are reshaping the modern digital era.
To prepare students for the rapidly evolving tech landscape, the program emphasizes a balance of theory and practical experience through:
⦁ AI Modeling, Data Engineering, and MLOps (Machine Learning Operations)
⦁ Generative AI–driven Software and Service Development
⦁ Cloud Computing and Large-scale Distributed Data Processing
⦁ Smart IoT and Edge Computing Systems
⦁ AI Ethics, AI Safety, and Responsible AI Frameworks
In addition, the major offers a strong global component through international collaboration projects, English-based courses, global capstone experiences, and overseas exchange programs, all designed to nurture globally competitive AI professionals.
The Global AI & IT Major is also closely connected to the Software Engineering Laboratory at HKNU (SELAB@HKNU), which conducts advanced research in Generative AI, multimodal and multi-agent systems, cloud-native and MLOps technologies, Physical AI, and Cyber-Physical AI Systems. The lab focuses on building real-world AI software solutions through publications, open-source contributions, and industry-collaborative projects. SELAB@HKNU actively recruits motivated and responsible students for the integrated Bachelor’s–Master’s track, the Master’s program, and postdoctoral positions. Educational Objectives 1. Master cutting-edge AI and IT technologies that shape the future
⦁ The Global Artificial Intelligence and IT major offers comprehensive training in generative AI, multimodal AI, edge AI, AI semiconductors, big data analytics, cloud-native systems, blockchain, digital twins, AR and VR, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
⦁ Through hands-on practice and project-based coursework, students gain practical experience and develop professional skills that can be applied immediately in real-world settings.
2. Strengthen practical problem-solving skills through AI-driven innovation
⦁ Students build strong problem-solving abilities through project-based learning.
⦁ They engage in real-world projects involving generative AI service development, data analysis and modeling, cloud and MLOps-based automation, and smart system development using IoT and edge AI.
⦁ This process helps students cultivate creativity, technical competency, and an understanding of how to apply AI and IT solutions directly to industry needs.
3. Develop global leadership and collaboration skills
⦁ Through team projects, English-based coursework, global capstone programs, and international collaboration activities, students strengthen their leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Career Paths After Graduation
⦁ Our program offers an integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s degree track.
- This track allows students to shorten one semester from the eight-semester bachelor’s program and one semester from the four-semester master’s program, enabling them to earn both degrees within a total of ten semesters.
⦁ Graduates can pursue a wide range of pathways, including employment at AI and IT companies in Korea and abroad, as well as admission to domestic and international graduate programs in AI and IT.
